Support Your Community by Supporting Good Neighbors

Make a Gift

As many as 30% of East Providence households are likely to experience food insecurity at least once a year. Most experts project an increase in food insecurity over the next year if not longer. Each month, Good Neighbors serves about 1150 hot meals and welcomes over 200 families to the food pantry.

Your support makes our work possible. With your help, we can close the gap between our neighbors’ needs and means by providing access to nutritious food.

We are a 501(c)(3) organization. Good Neighbors Form 990

Donate Food

We accept gifts of non-perishable, unopened food items. We do not accept expired or damaged packages. We accept donations during our Wednesday food pantry from 9 a.m. to noon or by appointment. Our most needed foods include:

  • Peanut butter and Jelly

  • Cereal

  • Pasta and Rice

  • Soup

  • Snacks

  • Toiletries

You can also host a food drive!

Other Ways to Give

Annual Fundraiser

Good Neighbors hosts our annual fundraiser, the All Fired Up! Community Kitchen Cook-Off, in the fall of each year. This event is a collaboration with the East Providence High School Culinary Program. EPHS students and Good Neighbors volunteers team up and compete for the title of All Fired Up champs! A silent auction, raffle, and other fun elements are also part of the event.

401Gives

401Gives is a statewide day of giving held annually on April 1 (4-01). It is fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, and thanks to prize incentives it is a great way to donate to Good Neighbors.

To participate, visit the Good Neighbors 401k Gives page on April 1!

Host a Fundraiser

Host a Facebook fundraiser, donation collection, or fundraising event to collect monetary gifts on behalf of Good Neighbors. Not only will your donation go further due to our wholesale purchasing power, but it will allow us to meet the moment by using the money to fill the greatest needs at that time.

Food Drives

Corporations, clubs, and organizations who are looking to help their community in a meaningful and hands-on way are welcome to host a food drive for Good Neighbors. Please contact Executive Director, Kate Mushipi at kmushipi@goodneigborsri.org for the updated list of what our pantry needs most and to discuss the logistics of hosting a food drive for Good Neighbors.
